SUMMIT ENTERTAINMENT HAS NAMED TIM SOMMERFELD AS SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, CREATIVE ADVERTISING
Los Angeles, CA June 17, 2008 — Tim Sommerfeld has been appointed Senior Vice President, Creative Advertising. Sommerfeld will be responsible for overseeing the development of print and audio-visual materials for the studio's upcoming film releases including FLY ME TO THE MOON, TWILIGHT, SEX DRIVE, THE BROTHERS BLOOM, PUSH and KNOWING. "I am quite proud to join the team at Summit," said Sommerfeld. "The studio has an incredible slate of projects set for release at the end of this year and I look forward to working on the campaigns for each with the talented creative team in place here." Sommerfeld most recently served as Creative Director and Producer for The Ant Farm. During his six year tenure at the creative agency he worked on the creative campaigns for numerous films including FINDING NEMO, THE GREAT DEBATERS, ERAGON, HOODWINKED, CHICAGO and many Walt Disney Home Entertainment releases. He most recently worked on the multi-studio campaign for Blu-ray DVD technology. Prior to joining The Ant Farm, Sommerfeld held the title of Vice President, Creative Advertising at Columbia Pictures and New Line Cinema, and began his theatrical marketing career at The Walt Disney Company. Sommerfeld is the recipient of numerous Key Art Awards for his creative work on projects including AUSTIN POWERS: THE SPY WHO SHAGGED ME, RUSH HOUR, BLADE, PLEASANTVILLE and CHICAGO.
