SUMMIT ENTERTAINMENT ANNOUNCES DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT WITH UNIVERSAL STUDIOS
Summit will Manage Sales and Marketing of its Product with USHE to Handle Physical Distribution of Summit Titles in the U.S.
Los Angeles, CA, May 16, 2007 — Continuing to strengthen its domestic distribution organization, recently formed full-service filmed entertainment studio Summit Entertainment has entered into a service relationship with Universal Studios Home Entertainment. Through the deal, Universal will distribute Summit Entertainment's home entertainment product throughout the U.S., with Summit handling all sales, marketing, distribution strategy and retailer relationships. The announcement was made today by Summit Chief Operating Officer Bob Hayward.
"Universal Studios Home Entertainment is not only a leader, but an innovator in the field of home entertainment. With Universal as our distribution partner, Summit has the right infrastructure in place to bring quality filmed entertainment product to the domestic marketplace," said Hayward.
Added Craig Kornblau, President, Universal Studios Home Entertainment and Universal Pictures Digital Platforms, "We are pleased to enter into this relationship with the impressive executive team that formed Summit, and look forward to a successful collaboration."
In addition to the physical distribution of individual Summit DVD SKU's, Universal will provide the studio with credit collection services and access to its valuable VMI data. Summit expects its first home entertainment titles to ship to the domestic marketplace in 2008. Summit plans to announce its home entertainment executive team soon.

The studio handles all aspects of marketing and distribution for both its own internally developed motion pictures as well as acquired pictures. Summit Entertainment, LLC also represents international sales for both its own slate and third party product. Summit Entertainment, LLC plans to release of 10 to 12 films annually.
