SUMMIT ENTERTAINMENT INTERNATIONAL AND NORDISK FILM FORGE MAJOR OUTPUT DEAL IN SCANDINAVIA
Summit Entertainment's GET SOME Will Launch the Partnership Santa Monica, CA November 4, 2007 — Summit International and Nordisk Film have finalized a three year output deal in the Scandinavian territories through 2010. The deal was announced today - at the AFM - by Bob Hayward, Summit Entertainment's COO, David Garrett, President of Summit International, Mikkel Berg, Managing Director of Nordisk Film Distribution and Peter Philipsen, General Manager, Nordisk Film Independent Distribution. The deal begins with GET SOME, PUSH, STEP UP 2 THE STREETS, TWILIGHT and SEX DRIVE and will also include films which are produced, co-produced and/or acquired by Summit during the Output Term. The deal excludes pictures on which Summit is sales agent. Nordisk Film and Summit Entertainment have had a close business relationship for many years and worked together on successes such as MEMENTO, DONNIE BRASCO, ALEXANDER, and BABEL. Garrett said, "Nordisk is one of the two major exhibitors and distributors in Scandinavia, and this agreement will give Summit a firm foothold in the market in the years to come. They have proved to be a most creative and professional team, and we look forward to a fruitful partnership with Nordisk."
