SUMMIT ENTERTAINMENT, INFINITY FEATURES, AND ICON PRODUCTIONS JOIN TOGETHER FOR PAUL MCGUIGAN'S THRILLER — PUSH
Cast Includes Chris Evans, Dakota Fanning, Camilla Belle and Djimon Hounsou Summit Entertainment Financed Theatrical Film Set To Begin Production In Hong Kong This Fall Los Angeles, CA, August 16, 2007 — Summit Entertainment along with Icon Productions and Infinity Features announced today that the film PUSH has completed its primary casting and will commence principal photography this fall in Hong Kong. PUSH, to be directed by Paul McGuigan, is a thriller that will star Chris Evans, Dakota Fanning, Camilla Belle and Djimon Hounsou. Summit Entertainment will finance the feature film and distribute it in North America as well as in a majority of territories around the globe. Icon will co-finance the film and distribute PUSH in the United Kingdom, Australia/New Zealand and sell the film rights in Asia and South Africa. The film is set to arrive in theatres in 2008. PUSH tells the story of a group of young American ex-pats with telekinetic and clairvoyant abilities who hide from a U.S. government agency in Hong Kong. They must use their different talents and band together to try and finally escape the control of the division. The film is written by David Bourla and is being produced by Infinity's William Vince and Icon's Bruce Davey. "PUSH is an exciting, vibrant, thrill-ride of a movie with a sterling cast, an incredibly talented filmmaker, and a setting and concept audiences have never seen before," said Erik Feig, President, Production, Summit Entertainment. "The film is also a great opportunity to partner with Icon and Infinity on a project as Summit ramps up its production slate." Infinity found the high-concept script and partnered with Icon on the project. Summit was then brought in to finance, produce and distribute the film. Additional Background McGuigan recently directed LUCKY NUMBER SLEVIN and is represented by Endeavor. Chris Evans' credits include the recently released FANTASTIC FOUR: RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER and SUNSHINE. Evans is represented by CAA and Kass & Stokes Management. Fanning will next be seen in WINGED CREATURES. She recently starred in HOUNDDOG. Other credits include CHARLOTTE'S WEB, DREAMER, WAR OF THE WORLDS, HIDE AND SEEK, and MAN ON FIRE. She is represented by Osbrink Talent Agency, One Talent Management and attorney Steve Warren. Camilla Belle most recently starred in Screen Gems remake of When a Stranger Calls. She is perhaps best known from her critically acclaimed performance in Rebecca Miller's The Ballad of Jack and Rose in which she starred opposite Daniel Day Lewis in the title role. She also co-starred in The Chumscrubber opposite Ralph Fiennes, Justin Chatwin, Lou Taylor Pucci and Rita Wilson. She can currently be seen as the face of Vera Wang's Princess fragrance campaign and was previously the face of Miu Miu's Spring 2006 collection alongside Kim Basinger. Belle is represented by CAA, attorney Marcy Morris and manager Deborah Gould. Twice nominated for an Academy Award®, Hounsou's credits include BLOOD DIAMOND, IN AMERICA, GLADIATOR and CONSTANTINE.
