SUMMIT ENTERTAINMENT NAMES INDUSTRY VETERAN SANDY FRIEDMAN EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT HOME ENTERTAINMENT OPERATIONS

Los Angeles, CA December 12, 2007 — Summit Entertainment has appointed Sandy Friedman as Executive Vice President Operations for the studio's growing home entertainment division. Friedman will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the company's DVD product development, as well as all retail related business activities including distribution and replenishment. Steve Nickerson, Summit's President of Home Entertainment, to whom Friedman will report, made the announcement today.

"His knowledge and experience in many facets of the home entertainment business is well respected by our customers, and he will play an integral role in establishing Summit Entertainment as the best in class operator in our industry."

Sandy Friedman stated, "Stephen has assembled a stellar management team and I am thrilled to join with them to help launch Summit's new home entertainment division."

With over 25 years of experience, Friedman possesses a breadth of knowledge in all phases of administration, finance and operations. For the last two years Friedman was the Vice President of Content Operations for Netflix, working across Netflix's supply chain on manufacturing and process improvements and building their real time online movie streaming business. Prior to his role with Netflix, Friedman spent eight years with DreamWorks Home Entertainment overseeing the division's worldwide operations for all of the studio's live-action and animated titles including several of the industry's best-selling DVD releases of, including SHREK, SHREK 2, GLADIATOR, and SAVING PRIVATE RYAN, among others.

Friedman also served in various Finance and Operations functions for such companies as Warner Bros., Paramount, MGM/UA, Turner, and Embassy Home Entertainment where Friedman began his entertainment career in 1982. Sandy Friedman is not related to Summit's Co-Chairman and CEO, Rob Friedman.

Summit Entertainment's video properties are brought to market via a service relationship with Universal Studios Home Entertainment. Under the agreement, Universal will distribute Summit Entertainment's home entertainment product throughout the U.S., with Summit handling all sales, marketing, distribution strategy and retailer relationships.
