SUMMIT ENTERTAINMENT NAMES
VETERAN ENTERTAINMENT LAWYER PATRICIA LAUCELLA
AS SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, LEGAL AFFAIRS
Los Angeles, CA March 4, 2008 — Summit Entertainment has appointed Patricia Laucella as its Senior Vice President of Legal Affairs. Laucella, a seasoned studio executive, will be primarily responsible for overseeing the legal aspects of the studio's development, productions and acquisitions. Laucella will report to David Friedman, Executive Vice President and General Counsel for the studio.

In her new role, Laucella will work closely with Summit's business affairs, physical production and production finance department in negotiating and documenting rights, talent and production deals and supervising outside production counsel. Additionally, she will liaise with and support the finance department in connection with Summit's credit facilities and the delivery and marketing departments through the release windows of each motion picture.
Laucella began her career as a studio lawyer in the feature legal division of Warner Bros. She later joined MGM as Senior Vice President of Theatrical Business Affairs, negotiating rights, talent and production deals on a variety of feature film projects. Laucella's vast studio legal experience also includes Columbia Pictures and Paramount Pictures.
